Children’s Programs
We know you are closely involved in your child’s language education, and that you're seeking effective teaching methods for your child to learn Spanish in an easy and fun way. Online programs can often lead to involuntary mistakes, and it’s harder to unlearn or correct something that has been learned incorrectly. This is why it’s recommended to learn a new language with the guidance of someone who can model native pronunciation, reading, and writing habits, rather than spending countless hours diving haphazardly through incoherent and unrelated internet resources. One-on-one private tutoring, or a small-group classroom setting, with a dedicated native-speaking Spanish teacher, is the perfect way for your child to acquire Spanish as a second language in an immersive and fun way. Gabe’s Spanish Academy has designed different Spanish programs for children according to their ages, needs, and learning styles.
Gabe’s Spanish Academy programs for children include:
- Español para los pequeñitos: Spanish for the little ones (3-6) A carefully-prepared program in which your child acquires Spanish through games, puppets, dances, and crafts, in an immersive and fun way. As a Montessori teacher, Miss Maryling guarantees your children will enjoy this experience.
- After School with Gabe’s Spanish Academy (7 -10) We have prepared a special curriculum: vocabulary, pronunciation, reading comprehension, and writing, all for different ages and proficiency levels. Whether it be in a group or a one-on-one private setting, we always prioritize a student’s individual needs in order to maximize their learning.
- Spanish for Spanish-speaking children We know that as Hispanic parents we are principally involved in our children’s native language development. You may even speak Spanish with your child at home — but you know that’s not enough. This is why we have created a spanish program for spanish-speaking children, where your child will learn a variety of subject matters (including science, math, and the arts) in Spanish, the same way they would in Spanish-speaking countries. In this course, Spanish-speaking children will develop the fundamentals of their native language — reading, writing, communication, and comprehension skills — by directly using Spanish to engage other content.
- Elementary School Children Many parents want their children to start learning a second language in elementary school, only to find they have to wait until high school! We have good news for you: Gabe’s Spanish Academy brings Spanish classes to your child’s school. Through our after-school program, your child will learn Spanish in no time while having fun with their friends for an hour after school.
During the 2017-2018 school year, students at Plano ISD Saigling Elementary School excelled in this after-school program. We are very excited to welcome them back for another school year, 2018-2019, full of fun learning. For more information about schedules, tuition, or curriculum, please contact us.
Teen Program
Spanish for Middle and High School Students
Most colleges require at least two years of foreign language classes in high school. Demonstration of proficiency in a second language will improve your chances of being admitted. Universities want to see if their applicants have taken the most challenging classes available such as Honors and AP classes.
Gabe’s Spanish Academy, aware of this situation, has prepared a program based on the foreign language requirements of various school districts. Your child will be ready to earn their credits easily and without any problems. Our effective one-on-one tutoring program aims to help them with what they learn superficially at school, but don’t yet understand at a deeper level. Your teen’s needs will be our priority!
Spanish for Spanish-speaking teens.
If your teen speaks Spanish, but cannot yet read nor write it, this means they are not ready for Honors or AP Spanish classes. These higher-level classes may be very difficult for them, and regular Spanish coursework is not adequate for acceptance into a university.
Unfortunately, even if you are bilingual and biliterate yourself, often there is little time to help your child with the skills they will need. At Gabe’s Spanish Academy, we have created a streamlined program for Spanish-speaking teens that will empower them to master the skills required by AP Spanish courses, earning the highest grades and maximum credits possible.
Gabe’s Spanish Academy programs for teens include:
- Private one-on-one tutoring
- Group Tutoring

Adult Programs
An adult’s learning progress is a reflection of their own interests and the ability to feel gratification from immediate results as they learn a new language. In other words, the amount of work you invest in your learning is reflected in the results. This is why our Adult Programs at Gabe’s Spanish Academy focus on day to day progress for success in personal, social and professional situations. We offer the resources to support progress and engagement in everyday conversations by keeping track of your individual linguistic strengths and weaknesses, through different learning styles.
Thinking about your busy schedule, we have developed different settings with the same common purpose: your success! Now, you have the opportunity to choose the one most convenient for you:
- Group classes: You will be able to interact with students of different levels, learning from each other and the teacher. Libraries offer the most convenient location for this setting.
- One-on-one tutoring: Private classes with a teacher in the library or in the comfort of your own home.
- Virtual Classes: Meet with a teacher over Facetime, Skype, or any platform of your choice, at the most convenient time available for you.
